About

I'm Dr. Annie Morgan

I am called to leadership and life coaching.

Since I was a kid, I have worked hard and learned from any job I have had. I picked rocks in a farmer’s field, worked as a geriatric nursing assistant, paid for some of my undergrad education as a receptionist and legal assistant, taught high school English, faked being a software expert and trainer, found my way into higher education as a faculty member and then administrator and executive leader; and in every role, my coaching voice was emerging.

For me, coaching is intuitive. It’s about being connected with another person and deeply listening to what is and is not being said. I specialize in strengths-based approaches that help leaders of all ages and positions leverage their gifts for good.

My PhD is in Advanced Studies of Human Behavior, and my research interests are in positive psychology, appreciative inquiry, and evidence-based coaching. While I choose to coach more than I consult or mentor, it is helpful that I am a systems-thinker, Six-Sigma/Lean, and Agile trained. I understand a variety of industries and organizational cultures.

When we are not traveling, golfing, camping, and exploring, I sit on the porch with my husband of more than 20 years in Eagan, Minnesota. We are enjoying watching our three sons become more independent and ever more like the beings they were born to be. I find my own sense of calm and respite in gardening and preparing delicious food. I love good wines and dark coffee. Oh, and chocolate.

What is the most positive and powerful thing you can do right now?
